Ingredients

1 pound strawberries, or other fruit
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp lemon juice

Steps

  1. Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice into quarters.
  2. In a pot on medium heat, add the strawberries, maple syrup and lemon juice. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, using your spoon to help the fruit break down.
  3. Use a potato masher or hand blender to puree the fruit, then turn off the heat.
  4. Stir in the chia seeds and transfer the jam to a storage container. Place in the refrigerator to cool.
